Navigating through the Waves of Global Challenges

!IPC Delegate Applications are already closed!

Welcome to LakeMUN 2026! After two extraordinary editions, we are ecstatic to announce that LakeMUN will once again be reconvening for a 2026 edition. Taking place in the gorgeous city of Konstanz, surrounded by breathtaking mountains and Germany’s most famous lake, we are ready to deliver an outstanding conference on all levels, defined by excellent academics and unique socials!

This year’s theme, “Navigating through the Waves of Global Challenges,” touches on today’s turbulent world. Many facets of the international community are under attack, from changing policies regarding climate change & development all the way to conventional wars and trade uncertainty. Such global challenges are just like waves, they rise to heights that present considerable danger, but eventually dissipate. One thing is certain: We cannot wait for them to just disappear, we also need to make sure they do not sweep away our values as human beings. Together, we shall navigate those waves.

From the 11th to the 14th of June 2026, we can promise a fulfilling 4-day conference. On the academic side, we offer committees to cater to everyone’s interests. For beginners, we have a United Nations Human Rights Council and a Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice. After last year’s pioneering attempt to simulate Germany’s parliament, the Bundestag is back for a historical edition. As an additional intermediate committee, we are excited to introduce the Arab League, offering a unique perspective on regional diplomacy. For our experts, we offer the MUN world’s most coveted committee, the United Nations Security Council, alongside the World Trade Organization for those passionate about international trade and global economic governance.

Regarding our famous Socials. As expected, we will once again be hosting the MUN world’s only Water Sports Social. On a beautiful June afternoon, you will be able to enjoy the summer weather at the beach, coupled with food & drinks, as well as the wonderful opportunity to explore the lake. Furthermore, bring out your best outfits for our yearly Gala in our picturesque Altstadt.

If you have any questions pertaining to the organizational aspects of the conference, applications, or any general queries, please send us an E-Mail, or a message on our Social Media pages. Our delegate package includes:

  • Conference Participation
  • Housing
  • Breakfast & Lunch
  • All Social Events

We hope to see you in Konstanz in June at LakeMUN 2026!
