UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC) in Model UN
The UN Human Rights Council has 47 member states, elected by the General Assembly for three-year terms, and meets in Geneva at least three times a year. Created in 2006, it also reviews every UN member state's record in the Universal Periodic Review. In Model UN it debates both thematic rights and the situation in named countries.
