    The Taiwan Flashpoint: Cross-Strait Crisis in the Indo-Pacific

    About the committee

    The world is in turmoil. Intelligence reports suggest China is preparing to launch a full blockade of Taiwan. A group of high level representatives of the states most involved in the conflict meet to debate about the conflict, defuse the escalating situation and maintain world trade. But can the spiral of conflict be stopped or will the nations rather seek their own gain from the situation? The setting will combine MUN debate, Crisis Directives and a Wargame conflict simulation. Committee sessions will alternate between debate in classic MUN style and Military resolution around a map. The 3 main conflict parties USA, Taiwan and China will be represented as a double delegation with one delegate specifically in control of their respective armed forces.
