LakeMUN 2025

Welcome to LakeMUN 2025! After an extraordinary 2024 edition, we are more than excited to announce that LakeMUN will once again be returning for a 2025 edition. Set in the gorgeous city of Constance, right next to the appropriately named Lake Constance, we are sure to deliver an excellent conference and experience from all points of view, whether it be academic or social-oriented and for all interested, regardless of whether you are a hardened veteran or someone who is just starting out.

This year’s theme, “Fluctus Idearum, Aestus Mutationis - Waves of Ideas, Tides of Change in an Uncertain Present,” touches on some of the most critical holistic issues we as an international community face today, while simultaneously offering a light at the end of the tunnel; a light that we can only reach through cooperation, negotiation, compromise, and diplomacy. If things seem precarious, maybe all we need is a push, a wave that can finally rock the boat back in the direction of safe shores. 

From the 12th to the 15th of June 2025, we can promise an excellent 4-day conference, consisting of astounding academics with incredible chairs, sensational socials to ease the intensity of debate, and more than one could hope for. Concerning academics more specifically, for this years’ edition of LakeMUN, we have fine-tuned our collection of committees so that all interests and all manners of debate and discussion may be introduced and included. LakeMUN 2025 will have UN Women, the “Deutscher Bundestag” (in German), the European Commission, the United Nations Security Council, and an elusive Chair’s Choice committee, where Chairs have the opportunity to finally make their dream committee into a full-fledged reality. Chair Applications will open on the 10th of November, so don’t forget to mark your calendars and set your reminders!

Last, but most certainly not least, our Socials. Returning by popular demand, we will once again spend an amazing and relaxing afternoon and evening by the lake with our famous Watersport Social. In the beautiful June weather, this Social will be, without a doubt, one of the highlights of your time here. Furthermore, there will of course be an amazing Gala, where you can socialize and dance with your fellow delegates deep into the night.
