This committee is open to high school and university students. This committee is the only one open to high school students! The Social, Humanitarian, and Cultural Committee (SOCHUM) is the Third Committee of the UN General Assembly. Based on the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, this committee focuses on ensuring basic human rights globally. With varying regime types and the influence of private corporations, delegates will have to balance policy proposals between the right to privacy and national security concerns.

The International Court of Justice (ICJ) is the principal judicial organ of the United Nations and serves as the highest international court for disputes between states. Established in 1945 under the United Nations Charter, it is based in The Hague, Netherlands. Delegates will take one of two roles: either advocates of one bench, using evidence, articles of international law and public skills to win the case, or judges, posing questions to the advocates in order to objectively reach to a final judgement and decide who should win the case.
