Rising Tides; Rising Tensions
Join AmsterMUN 2025, where debate meets diplomacy!
AmsterMUN 2025 will be the inaugural international Model United Nations conference organised by the experienced members of the MUNDUNSA delegation in the wonderful capital of the Netherlands: Amsterdam, during the peak of the local Sinterklass festivities.
It will be a three-day conference where participants can practice negotiation, debate and work on a range of different international issues facing our world. Everyone from experienced to first-time delegates are welcome to this conference, which will have topics and committees suited to every level.
The theme of AmsterMUN 2025: Rising Tides; Rising Tensions. Reflects both Amsterdam's uniquely close connection to the sea, shown even in the cityscape's many canals, while simultaneously emphasising the challenges facing our world of climate change and increased threats to peace. We hope AmsterMUN will be a step in your journey to contribute to a better world, which can avert these challenges once and for all.
Included for all participants, beyond an enlightening and rewarding conference, will be:
- Two socials to let off steam and network after committees
- Lunches and coffee/tea breaks to keep your energy up
- A goodie bag full of swag
- A look inside the University of Amsterdam, one of the foremost educational institutions in the world
- An unforgettable experience
- More perks to be announced…
If you apply and are accepted as a chair at the conference, you will be provided with accommodation in Amsterdam if necessary, as well as all the other perks of participation for free. If you would like to chair, sign up sooner rather than later for a better chance of securing a spot, as spots will start being filled before the application deadline.
The conference will start around midday on Friday December 5th, and end in the afternoon of Sunday December 7th.
The core values of AmsterMUN that we strive for in how we organise this conference are: Professionalism, learning through practice, excellence in academics, respect and accessibility for all, addressing the common challenges of humanity, and finally, that all of this is done in a fun and rewarding way.
