Join the MaltMUN Community for the 11th Edition of Malta’s premier Model United Nations Conference! In 2015, MaltMUN proudly hosted the nation’s first MUN conference - bringing together passionate young leaders from around the world to debate today’s most pressing global issues. This year we invite you to join us in Valletta, Malta’s captivating capital and a UNESCO World Heritage site, where diplomacy, culture, and history unite.

We are proud to announce this year’s theme - Reimagining Governance in a Post-Multilateral System: Questions of Autonomy, Integrity, and Resilience.

Many around the world stand in agreement that our international system of governance and organisation has shifted to a less international one—a new post multilateral system. Such a system is characterised by the emergence of regional organisations and fora as the dominant drivers of international relations. Because of this new reality, these organisations now fight to protect and preserve their own autonomy, integrity and resilience—three key pillars of ensuring prosperity in a dynamic world. At MaltMUN 2026, we embrace change to our international system, not simply by passively educating about it, but primarily by allowing our participants to directly engage with and simulate several so-called post-multilateral organisations and fora. This theme seeks to challenge traditional understandings of international co-operation and emphasise the new reality that we find ourselves in.
