LyonMUN 2027

About LyonMUN

Founded in 2012, LyonMUN is a student-run association based in Lyon, dedicated to promoting the principles and practices of the United Nations through Model United Nations conferences.

Each year, our conference brings together participants from different countries and academic backgrounds. By representing a country within a committee, delegates experience international negotiations firsthand.

How does the conference work?

Over four days, participants take part in committee sessions alongside opening and closing ceremonies and opportunities to meet fellow delegates.

Each committee focuses on specific issues, with discussions guided by chairs who facilitate debate and help delegates navigate the rules of procedure. Preparation materials will allow you to research your assigned country and committee topics ahead of the conference.

You can apply individually or as part of a delegation through MyMUN.

What’s included in the delegate fees?

• Participation in all committee sessions as a delegate;
• Lunch, coffee and snacks during the conference;
• Conference goodies;
• A certificate of participation;
• MyMUN processing fees.

What about the socials?

The LyonMUN experience continues beyond committee sessions! Our social events give participants the chance to discover another side of Lyon, get to know one another and enjoy time together throughout the conference. Further information about the programme, venues and booking arrangements will be shared ahead of the conference.

Plan your participation

The conference will take place in Lyon, France, from May 19 to 22, 2027. Please take these dates into account when planning your travel and accommodation.

Further practical information, including the detailed schedule and conference venues, will be shared with participants ahead of the event.
