Introducing sustainable sources of energy is becoming increasingly important in the world affected by harmful fossil fuels. However, this can be challenging to economies of developing states, which cannot afford to diversify their energy sources and remain completely dependent on fossil fuels. Because of that, addressing the socioeconomic implications of the transition to reliable energy is critical.

About the committee

While it seems hard to believe, over the years UN Peacekeeping Operations, whose primary goal was protecting civilians and upholding human rights, have sparked numerous controversies; from the lack of accountability and involvement in massacres and genocides, to cases of abuse of power and rape. In this committee, delegates will have a chance to investigate and discuss what has caused peacekeeping operations to fail and come up with solutions on how to ensure political stability and safety in the light of arising and ongoing conflicts.
