Abdullah al-Senussi was the director of military intelligence in the Gaddafi regime in Libya. He was charged by the ICC with crimes against humanity in 2011. He had allegedly been actively acting to improve the Libyan military during the regime, from the 1970's up until the Libyan Civil War of 2011. During the conflict he allegedly committed war crimes, one of which was orchestrating killings in the northern city of Benghazi. He is to be tried by the International Criminal Court in April of 2025.
