Dear future delegates, chairs, and members of the staff and press, 

Welcome to the 6th edition of the Model United Nations of the Autonomous University of Barcelona; UABMUN 2026! This edition will take place from the 26th to the 29th of March 2026 in our vibrant and green Bellaterra campus. 

The motto for this edition will be “Turning DiVIsion into Cohesion” where community, diplomacy, and knowledge meet to build lasting solutions. In a world increasingly marked by polarization and fragmentation, we believe in the transformative power of dialogue, empathy, and cooperation. UABMUN 2026 aspires to be a space where ideas converge, communities connect, and diplomacy becomes a tool for unity rather than division.

Following the legacy of previous editions, this year we aim to keep growing while preserving the inclusive and familiar spirit that defines UABMUN. Our Secretariat, a team combining experience, innovation, and passion, is working to create an edition that is both academically enriching and personally meaningful. 

Our Academics Team has designed eight entirely new committees, each addressing some of the most pressing challenges of our time. True to our roots, UABMUN continues to be multilingual, featuring six committees in English, one in Spanish, and the world’s only committee in Catalan. 

As always, UABMUN is more than a conference; it’s a community. We are committed to ensuring a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment where every delegate can express themselves freely and confidently. Alongside the debates, you can also look forward to our unforgettable socials, where friendships and memories are built beyond committee walls.

Estimats futurs delegats, presidències, i membres de staff i premsa, 

Ens plau donar-vos la benvinguda a la 6a edició del Model de Nacions Unides de la Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona; UABMUN 2026! Aquesta edició tindrà lloc del 26 al 29 de març del 2026 al nostre vibrant i verd campus de Bellaterra. 

El lema d'aquesta edició serà “Transformant la DiVIsió en cohesió” on comunitat, diplomàcia i coneixement es reuneixen per construir solucions duradores. En un món cada vegada més marcat per la polarització i la fragmentació, creiem en el poder transformador del diàleg, l'empatia i la cooperació. UABMUN 2026 aspira a ser un espai on conflueixin idees, les comunitats es connectin i la diplomàcia es converteixi en una eina d'unitat més que de divisió. 

Seguint el llegat d'edicions anteriors, aquest any pretenem seguir creixent preservant l'esperit inclusiu i familiar que defineix UABMUN. La nostra Secretaria, un equip que combina experiència, innovació i passió, treballa per crear una edició que sigui alhora enriquidora acadèmicament i amb significat personal. 

El nostre equip d'Acadèmics ha dissenyat vuit comités totalment nous, cadascun d’ells s'ocupa d'alguns dels reptes més urgents del nostre temps. Fidels a les nostres arrels, UABMUN continua essent multilingüe, amb sis comitès en anglès, un en castellà i l'únic comitè en català del món. 

Com sempre, UABMUN és més que una conferència; és una comunitat. Ens comprometem a garantir un entorn segur, inclusiu i respectuós on cada delegat pugui expressar-se amb llibertat i confiança. A més a més, també podreu gaudir d’uns socials inoblidables, on les amistats i els records es construeixen més enllà dels murs del comitè.
