EXCLUSIVE MUN CONFERENCE AT THE UNITED NATIONS OFFICE IN VIENNA
This year's theme is “Aiming for a Resilient Future: Reinventing Global Cooperation and Strengthening the Rule of Law”. This theme is extremely relevant today. We are living in a world where there is a degradation in the rule of law, a move away from diplomacy, and a time of rising geopolitical tensions. With more and more conflicts happening as time goes on, we need to focus on finding solutions to the world's problems through peace and diplomacy. The theme embodies the fouding principles of the United Nations: strengthening peace through diplomacy and fostering positive international relations. We as a society need to make sure that these principles aren't forgotten.
MUNoV 2026 is a VIS student led and long standing international Model United Nations conference held in the United Nations office of Vienna. It is in fact one of the few MUN conferences that are held in a UN building. At MUNoV students from around the world come together to engage in high-level debate, diplomatic negotiation, and collaborative decision making. Rooted in the principles of the United Nations, MUNoV empowers the next generation of global leaders to confront pressing international issues with empathy, critical thinking, and a commitment to peace.
