This year, we have chosen to focus on the theme 'Conflict to Cooperation: Navigating Turbulent Times with Diplomacy'. This theme was selected in recognition of the challenging and rapidly changing world we live in. The complexities of geopolitical tensions, social hardships, and environmental challenges require us to transition from an environment of conflict to one of cooperation. This transition is critical in ensuring that we can effectively address these issues and create a more sustainable and peaceful world. The theme ‘Conflict to Cooperation: Navigating Turbulent Times with Diplomacy’ embodies the fundamental principles of the United Nations – maintaining international peace and security through diplomacy, fostering friendly relations among nations, and promoting social progress, better living standards, and human rights. Thus, we believe that discussing this theme, particularly at a Model United Nations conference in Vienna, the heart of the creation of the SDG goals will be highly memorable and diplomatically historic. It presents an opportunity for delegates to understand and engage with the principles of diplomacy, cooperation, and conflict resolution.
