I. GENERAL INFORMATION - A PREMIUM CONFERENCE

On the behalf of the United Nations Society Nuremberg e.V. we are delighted to extend our
warm invitation for the BayernMUN2027-conference to your delegation. All you need to know
about the conference:

BayernMUN understand itself as a format beyond simply the isolated MUN-conferences. We offer delegates a premium experience: From accommodation and dining on the Kaiser Castle, the exchange with high-ranking UN, EU, NATO and OSCE officials, Press, Politicans, Security Experts etc., over the amazing network and career events, where you can boost your career in international diplomacy to the most exciting socials ever, BayernMUN is an experience that goes beyond your classical MUN-conference.

The BayernMUN-conference is organized by the United Nations Society Nuremberg e.V. Our
association is committed to political education in the Nuremberg metropolitan region and
aims to convey democratic values and make the work of the United Nations more tangible.
The BayernMUN2027-conference is the 16th edition of the conference format, which has
been held annually since 2012, and will take place

from 22.01. to 24.01.2027
at the Kaiserburg, Nuremberg, Germany

The 16th BayernMUN Conference will host between 250 and 300 delegates and will
simulate the following committees:

It is our mission to keep some committees smaller, so all delegates get the chance to give speeches and express themselves meaningfully. Therefore, depending on larger-than-expected demand, new committees might be added to accomodate a growing number of delegates to keep committee sizes down. II. CONFERENCE FEATURES

The conference features a variety of activities that will make this weekend not only a truly
unforgettable MUN-experience, but with a lasting impact for the future diplomatic journey:

[NEW!] NATO Council: For the first time ever, BayernMUN will feature a NATO-council including a crisis backroom. We follow up with more details as the concept of the council is further developed.

[NEW!] Press features: This year's conference will include an innovative integration
of the press & media into the conference schedule. Delegates will be given the
chance to hold their own press conferences. Additionally an In-conference newsletter
will keep the delegates informed about developments across all committees.

Hertie School x UNSN meet & greet: on the first evening, there will be a
cocktail reception on the Kaiser Castle, where the delegates will be able to enjoy
alcohol-free beverages, connect with each other and learn more about exciting future
academic opportunities at the Hertie School

KeyNotes, Panel Discussions & Townhalls: This year’s conference will feature a
variety of additional offers, such as KeyNotes, Q&As and a dynamic and
thought-provoking panel discussion, where experts and participants will explore
fundamental questions about the Future of the United Nations and the New Global
Security Framework.

Last year, we were delighted to welcome renowned guests, such as Nico Lange
(Senior Fellow@Munich-Security-Conference), Dr. Ekkehard Griep (Chairman of the
German Association for the United Nations), Martin Kobler (UN Special Envoy to Iraq
and Libya), as well as Prof Dr. Dr. Bielefeldt (UN Special Rapporteur on freedom of
religion or belief). Stay tuned for our guests this year!

Location - the Kaiser Castle: As a city known for its commitment to human rights
and international understanding, Nuremberg provides the perfect setting for a
conference focused on issues of international law. The event will mainly take place in
the Kaiser Castle. From the “Eppelein”-hall, the highest elevation in all of Nuremberg,
delegates can enjoy the view of wintery Nuremberg.

Accommodation option: The Kaiser Castle also provides accommodation in the
very same building as the main conference hall. BayernMUN offers a ticket option,
where accommodation in the castle itself is included - as well as a stunning view from
your room!

Committee Sizes: While NMUN hosts committees with up to 400 delegates,
BayernMUN serves as excellent preparation by simulating large (ECOSOC), medium
(HRC) and small committees (SC), providing participants with a tailored preparation
in a high-capacity setting.

From MUN-Beginner to Pro: BayernMUN ensures that Delegates of each
experience-level have meaningful and fulfilling conference. With special offers (e.g. a
Rules of Procedure crash-course before the start of the conference) we also cater to
the needs of less experienced delegates aiming to make their first MUN-experiences.
At the same time advanced councils like the Security Council give experienced
delegates the chance to work in a highly demanding environment.

Diversity & Internationality: BayernMUN has committed itselves to embracing
diversity as a core strength of BayernMUN. By bringing together participants from a
wide range of cultural, academic, and national backgrounds, the conference
promotes inclusive dialogue and reflects the global spirit of the United Nations. For
the last few years, BayernMUN has also consistently been attended by international
delegations.

Social Events: The delegate dance will take place in a centrally located club in
Nuremberg - guaranteeing a memorable night of celebration and networking.
