Sailing into a diplomatic future
KielMUN 2026
Since its first iteration in 2019, KielMUN has evolved into a conference of a growing audience and scope. Priding ourselves on our tradition of well-organized and skilled UN simulations, we are happy to announce that our conference this year will be held in the beautiful and historic town hall of Kiel for the first time.
There, we aim to bring students from around Germany and Europe to the table to discuss and tackle the challenges of our time and help build a livable future for all. Doing so in a professional, yet fun and inviting, environment will help you develop your skills as future leaders and global citizens while making meaningful memories and friendships along the way. If this is not a win-win situation, we donβt know what is!
Located on the Baltic Sea coast in the north of Germany, the city of Kiel is famous for its quality of life and relaxed spirit. At the same time, as the regional capital, it is a political and social hotspot within northern Germany and a logistical hub for transport and travel between central Europe and Scandinavia. A social program on the side of the conference will further introduce you to Kiel and its rich culture and history. Delegations can be represented by a single delegate.
This year, we will host two committees: a Security Council and a Commission on Narcotic Drugs
The Security Council will deal with the following topics:
a. Securing peace in Yemen
b. Securing peace in the Arctic OceanThe Commission on Narcotic Drugs will deal with the following topics:
c. Illicit cultivation, production, and manufacture of narcotic drugs
d. Strengthening International cooperation to combat the world drug problem
The conference will begin on July 3rd at 3 PM and end on July 7th at around 2 PM. The conference fee of 40 euros only covers conference costs and catering, but not personal costs such as accommodation. Payment details will be send seperately after the confirmation of the application.
