Dear Delegates, Faculty Advisors, and fellow members of the MUN community,

On behalf of our Executive Team and the Secretariat, it is my great pleasure to invite you to the 7th edition of Gimnazija Bežigrad Model United Nations Conference. We are excited to once again host national and international delegates from all over the world.

GimBMUN VII is a three-day simulation of the organs of the United Nations and is aimed at bringing the world of diplomacy closer to high school students (ages 14-19) with the goal of giving them a chance to participate in the world of diplomacy, broadening their horizons, and empowering them to publicly express their thoughts.

Our theme this year will centre around the importance of water and the role it plays in international relations, where it can lead to cooperation or conflict. We will host committees in which delegates will have the opportunity to explore this issue from various perspectives, suited to their interests and passions, and delve deeper into these crucial topics.

Furthermore, while the academic component of the conference is crucial, a large and memorable part of attending MUN conferences is the opportunity to meet new people and build new friendships. While you will spend most of your time with delegates from your committee, you will also have an opportunity to meet everyone in more informal settings, exploring the beautiful city of Ljubljana, and at the party. Throughout the three days, you will have an incredible chance to meet like-minded youth from all over Europe and build memories that will last you a lifetime.

For further information on the conference and preparation material, please visit our website: https://gimbmun.com/, and follow our Instagram to receiveregular updates and reminders of important deadlines: @gimbmun. For any inquiries or questions, we are also always available at our email:info@gimbmun.com

I look forward to welcoming all of you in January.

Sincerely,

Ana Pšeničnik

Secretary-General
