About

Vox Tua, Actiones Tuae, Futurum TuumNationes Unitae in Manibus Bonis

WinMUN is proud to host our eighteenth FREE online conference. Held online monthly, these conferences give delegates anywhere around the world a chance to compete and hone there skills in and GA. WINMUN XVIII will focus on GA committees to allow delegates to learn the skills required to succeed at a regional and international level. All WINMUN conferences are led by the International Institute for Model UN, an officially filed nonprofit foundation with the goal of bridging the gap between low and high-income countries in competitive Model UN. The Institute works to offer extremely high-quality (averaging over 4/5 stars across MyMUN) conferences for free for delegates, a dynamic experience with committees ranging from beginner learning experiences to challenging expert committees, along with free resources and coaching to anyone in the world for free. WINMUN is the current largest conference series on MyMUN and proudly invites you to our prestigious conference.

    About the committee

The United Nations Security Council (UNSC) is the most powerful body within the United Nations, responsible for maintaining international peace and security by addressing conflicts, authorizing peacekeeping missions, imposing sanctions, and, in extreme cases, approving the use of force; it consists of a small group of permanent and rotating member states, with the permanent members holding veto power that allows any one of them to block substantive resolutions, making the council both uniquely capable of rapid, binding action and frequently constrained by geopolitical rivalry, as its decisions carry legal authority over all UN member states but depend heavily on consensus among major global powers.
