Vox Tua, Actiones Tuae, Futurum TuumNationes Unitae in Manibus Bonis

WinMUN is proud to host our ninth FREE online conference. Held online monthly, these conferences give delegates anywhere around the world a chance to compete and hone their skills in  GA. WINMUN IX will focus and GA committees to allow delegates to learn the skills required to succeed at a regional and international level. All WINMUN conferences are led by the International Institute for Model UN, an officially filed nonprofit foundation with the goal of bridging the gap between low and high-income countries in competitive Model UN. The Institute works to offer extremely high-quality (averaging over 4/5 stars across MyMUN) conferences for free for delegates, a dynamic experience with committees ranging from beginner learning experiences to challenging expert committees, along with free resources and coaching to anyone in the world for free. WINMUN is the current largest conference series on MyMUN and proudly invites you to our prestigious conference.

The Implications of Severe Budgetary Shortfalls in the United Nations Following the Withdrawal of Major Contributors, Including the United States.

    About the committee

The United Nations General Assembly Fifth Committee, commonly known as the Administrative and Budgetary Committee, is the body of the United Nations General Assembly responsible for overseeing the financial, administrative, and management operations of the United Nations. Composed of all UN member states, the committee examines and approves the organization’s regular budget, peacekeeping budgets, and major financial policies that determine how UN programs, agencies, and missions are funded and administered. It reviews reports and recommendations submitted by the Advisory Committee on Administrative and Budgetary Questions and the United Nations Secretariat, debates expenditures and resource allocations, and negotiates resolutions that establish budget levels, staffing structures, and administrative reforms across the UN system. Through this process the committee plays a central role in determining the operational capacity of the United Nations, ensuring fiscal oversight, accountability, and transparency while balancing the competing financial priorities of member states and the organization’s global mandates.
