The International Institute for Model UN, the premier professional organization tasked with hosting the yearly Model United Nations World Championship, is proud to announce the 2026 Model United Nations World Championship. It is our distinct honor to invite you to this exceptional conference that for the first time in the history of the world will crown a MUN World Champion. All WINMUN conferences are led by the International Institute for Model UN, an officially filed nonprofit foundation with the goal of bridging the gap between low and high-income countries in competitive Model UN. The Institute works to offer extremely high-quality (averaging over 4/5 stars across MyMUN) conferences for free for delegates, a dynamic experience with committees ranging from beginner learning experiences to challenging expert committees, along with free resources and coaching to anyone in the world for free. WINMUN is the current largest conference series on MyMUN and proudly invites you to our prestigious conference.

📝Position Papers: to prevent confusion, position papers are not required

🏆Awards and Committee Structure: Seeing as this is a World Championship all committees you may apply to via MyMUN are the preliminary rounds. 10 award winners out of each preliminary rounds will be recognized as preliminary round award winners and emailed to be invited to the semifinal rounds. The assignments and committees for semifinal rounds will be sent directly to delegates via email with one full day to prepare to compete. The top award winners in semifinal rounds will be recognized as semifinal round award winners and then invited via email to our World Championship's Grand Final Round. Delegates will be invited to compete in the final round over email. This round will operate as an Ad-Hoc GA, where information regarding the committee, topic, and position assignments will be provided once delegates join the Zoom. 30 minutes will be given to prepare before committee session begins.

🧭New Delegates: The preliminary rounds of our World Championship are open to all delegates, no matter experience level. New delegates are encouraged to email officials to access free coaching, guides, and mentorship before the conference.

June 25th: Semifinal Rounds and SEMIFINAL ROUNDS CLOSING CEREMONY

Final Round:

June 26th: Grand Final Round Ad-Hoc Day 1

June 27th: Grand Final Round Ad-Hoc Day 2 and WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP CLOSING CEREMONY
