The Evolution of International Cooperation
Quo Vadis?
HultMUN 2026 returns to London from 13th - 15th November for its sixth edition, bringing delegates together for three days of debate, negotiation, and diplomacy.
Every generation inherits a different world; and the same responsibility to make it better.
While the principles of diplomacy remain constant, the environment in which they operate does not. New technologies, shifting geopolitical realities, and increasingly complex global challenges continue to reshape how states engage, negotiate, and build consensus.
As the international order continues to evolve, Quo Vadis? (Latin, tr. Where Are We Going?) asks us to pause and consider its direction; not only where it is heading, but how international cooperation must evolve alongside it.
Rather than asking delegates to preserve the international order exactly as it exists, this year's theme invites them to examine how international cooperation can continue to adapt while remaining grounded in dialogue, multilateralism, and shared responsibility.
These are not questions with settled answers. They are the questions delegates will carry into committee, argue over in unmoderated caucus, and attempt to resolve in the language of resolutions and amendments - the same way they are contested in practice.
Model United Nations asks us to step beyond our own perspectives. It asks us to listen before we debate, question before we conclude, and recognise that international cooperation is built not through certainty, but through dialogue.
At HultMUN 2026, we invite you to carry that spirit into every committee: to negotiate with purpose, challenge ideas with respect, and approach every debate with intellectual curiosity.
Every committee begins with different perspectives. Our hope is that every delegate leaves with a broader one.
