Grossesses forcées, stérilisations et atteintes à l’intégrité corporelle: un défi global pour la paix et les droits humains

Les conflits d’aujourd’hui dépassent les frontières et transforment le corps des femmes en champ de bataille. Pour faire face à cette réalité alarmante, nous t’invitons à rejoindre le comité chargé d’impulser et de coordonner l’action internationale en faveur de l’égalité, de la protection et de la sécurité des femmes, y compris en contexte de conflit. Entre 2020 et 2025, de nombreux rapports d’agences onusiennes et d'équipes médicales internationales documentent une explosion des violences sexuelles et reproductives à caractère systémique. Grossesses forcées, stérilisations et avortements imposés, contraception contrainte, mutilations et atteintes à l’intégrité corporelle : ces pratiques touchent aujourd’hui des millions de femmes à travers le monde. Employées comme armes de guerre, moyens de répression ou instruments de contrôle social, elles constituent violation grave des droits humains et une menace directe pour la paix et la sécurité internationales. En tant que délégués, vous devrez proposer des mesures concrètes de prévention, renforcer les mécanismes juridiques et œuvrer à une protection effective des droits et de la dignité des femmes.

Safeguarding and Promoting the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Latin America and the Caribbean

About the committee

In Latin America and the Caribbean, heritage is not simply kept in museums : it dances, sings, cooks, heals, and lives through its people. It is intangible. Joining this UNESCO committee would mean working at the crossroads of culture, history and diplomacy. Where you are tasked with preserving traditions that are threatened by numerous factors, such as; globalization, social transformations, climate change, lack of resources, mass tourism, linguistic erosion and the marginalisation of Indigenous and Afro-descendant communities. For it is across the region that identities are shaped through songs, rituals, stories, crafts, languages, and ancestral knowledge, which are forms of expression that only survive if they continue to be practiced. For UNESCO, safeguarding intangible heritage is not about freezing it in time, but sustaining it as living heritage: it must be continually produced, maintained, re-created and protected by the communities who carry it, or it simply ceases to be heritage. You are therefore called upon to identify threats to the maintenance and transmission of this intangible cultural heritage, propose transmission and revitalization policies, encourage the active participation of the communities concerned and promote strengthened regional governance.

Renforcer la résilience commerciale des petits États Insulaires en Développement en vue de la réalisation des ODD

Des vacances aux Maldives ? Aux Bahamas ? Aux Seychelles ? Ce paradis que vous admirez lutte chaque jour pour rester à flot. Mais en tant que délégués au sein de l’OMC vous avez désormais le pouvoir, ainsi que la responsabilité et devoir, de défendre leur résilience, de repenser les règles du commerce mondial, et de garantir que ces îles continuent d’exister bien au-delà des cartes postales. Dans un monde où les flux commerciaux déterminent de plus en plus la prospérité des nations, les petits États Insulaires en Développement (PEID) sont les principaux acteurs confrontés à une vulnérabilité environnementale et économique. Effectivement, leur survie commerciale est entravée par des économies dépendantes d’un nombre réduit de secteurs, par des coûts de transport exorbitants, par leur éloignement des grandes routes commerciales, par un marché intérieur limité, ainsi que par des catastrophes naturelles toujours plus fréquentes. Dans ce contexte, la résilience commerciale se définit par la capacité des PEID à maintenir leurs réseaux commerciaux tout en atteignant les Objectifs de Développement Durable (ODD). Le défi de l’OMC est désormais d’adapter ses règles pour tenir compte de ces obstacles et renforcer la résilience des PEID.

Securing Justice and Accountability for Crimes Against the Rohingya: The Role of the UNSC in Addressing Impunity in Myanmar

About the committee

Peace? Security? Action? Any of these words interest you? Well, UNSC might be the perfect fit for a delegate like you. The Security Council is the UN organ entrusted above all others with maintaining global peace and security: it consists of 15 members who each hold a single vote, and of which 5 permanent members hold a veto power. In this particular session, the Rohingya, a Muslim ethnic minority native to Myanmar’s Rakhine State, are at the center of our attention. In August 2017, Myanmar’s military launched "clearance operations"; involving mass killings, sexual violence, and village burnings, driving over 700 000 Rohingya to Bangladesh. Despite widespread condemnation, justice has been hindered by political divisions and sovereignty issues. As delegates you must navigate the tension between State sovereignty and humanitarian responsibility, as well as craft actionable resolutions and construct targeted sanctions. And as humans of a shared world community we must raise awareness and fight for the unseen, the unheard and the forgotten.

Developing a Unified Arab Strategy to Address the Normalization of Relations with Israel and the Future of the Palestinian Cause

About the committee

For Palestine, for a united Arab world, for the tomorrow our region deserves. If this cause is to your calling we introduce to you this expert committee. The Arab League is an intergovernmental organisation encompassing all Arab states in the Middle East and North Africa. Since the Abraham Accords, the League, especially its Department of Palestinian Affairs, has confronted widening rifts as several members normalise relations with Israel. These bilateral agreements are reshaping regional dynamics and raising urgent questions about the future of the Palestinian cause. In other words; the struggle for self-determination, an independent state, the end of occupation, and the protection of Palestinian rights and dignity. Some member States see engagement as a means to foster stability and economic growth , while others view it as a betrayal of the historical commitments to Palestine as well as a threat to Arab Unity. Delegates within this committee must craft a coherent Arab strategy that responds to these shifts all the whilst upholding the League’s core principles of solidarity, justice, and the defense of the Palestinian people.
