Everything I've done in the Model United Nations network started back in 2012 when during a Rotaract Club project we hard the amazing opportunity for young people to debate and simulate UN committees in global projects called MUN. Rotary’s relationship with the United Nations dates back to 1945 when some 49 Rotary members acted as delegates, advisors and consultants at the United Nations Charter Conference. Today, Rotary holds the highest consultative status possible with the United Nations as a non-governmental organization. Rotary and the United Nations have a long history of working together and sharing similar visions for a more peaceful world. Having this in mind, our initiative follows on these footsteps and has been exceptionally successful in bringing Rotaractors together across the globe to address current and emerging issues that affect our generation. **This is how [Rotaract Global Model United Nations](http://rotaractmun.org) started.**  In 2017, after organizing 5 amazing editions of RotaractMUN in Romania, UK, USA, Serbia, Bulgaria and Lebanon, together with project managers, best delegates and chairs we started a new Rotary Club, called [Rotary e-Club of Global Peace and Leadership](http://rotarypeaceleadership.org), based in district 2241 but being one of the most international clubs formed out of rotaractors world wide.
