<span id="docs-internal-guid-705c7ba8-7fff-afb1-c890-e52157ffc158"><p dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.38; text-indent: 36pt; padding: 0pt 0pt 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">As a high school student who once practiced debate, I was drawn to Model United Nations by its inclusiveness and solution-oriented discussions. Since then, I have continuously participated in Model UN for more than 5 years, partaking in more&nbsp; than 40 conferences as delegate, chair, admin officer, or even secretary general.</span></p><p dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.38; text-indent: 36pt; padding: 0pt 0pt 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">To give you a more personal description of myself, I would say that I am a mildly competitive, and bravely open-minded delegate. In conferences, I eagerly approach other delegates, and strive to cover the roles of think tank, negotiator, and coordinator. Those who I have worked with have often described me as either a calm mind, a helpful ally, or a challenging opponent.</span></p><p dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.38; text-indent: 36pt; padding: 0pt 0pt 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">Model UN not only bolstered my language proficiency, but also paved my interest in interdisciplinary learning in both law and computer science - seeing how every conference stands as a new learning experience in a different field. To me, the spirit of Model UN lies in how one should be the initiative, actively engage with others, and embrace diversity with empathy, compassion, and an open mind.
