The World Federation of United Nations Associations (WFUNA) is a global non-profit organization founded in 1946 with Consultative Status at the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC). WFUNA coordinates a global network of more than 100 United Nations Associations (UNAs), strengthening the role of the United Nations by engaging global citizens and bridging the gap between civil society and the UN system.
Education has been at the core of WFUNA's mission since its founding. Through Global Model conferences, Training Programs at the United Nations, and Act4Impact initiatives, WFUNA combines decades of experience in international affairs with unique access to the UN system, giving participants an authentic understanding of diplomacy, multilateralism, and global governance.
More than 25,000 students from over 120 countries have participated in WFUNA programs. They leave with practical leadership, negotiation, and cross-cultural communication skills, along with a global network that extends far beyond the conference experience.
Whether you're debating international peace at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, engaging with the Asia-Pacific community in Singapore, exploring global health at WHO in Geneva, or tackling food security at FAO in Rome, every Global Model will offer a different perspective on international cooperation.
