About

For the thirteenth year in a row Žilina Model United Nations is here for you once again. This conference will be taking place in Žilina and is organized by the students of the Bilingual secondary grammar school, T. Ružičku 3312/19.

ŽilinaMUN offers an opportunity for students to experience the world of international politics of the United Nations and simultaneously improve their debate skills, critical thinking, use of a foreign language and widen their knowledge of the world.

This year, delegates have the option to choose from six different committees, four of which will be in English (UNEP, UNICEF, UNHCR and HSC), while the remaining two (Conseil de sécurité and CESNU) will be in French.
The English committees will discuss their respective topics for the entirety of day one and the first half of day two. During the second half of day two, these committees will unite into one – General Assembly – where they will discuss the following topic: The question of personal sovereignty in the cyberspace, until the end of the conference.
