Stonyhurst Penang Model United Nations (also known as Stonyhurst Penang MUN or simply SHPGMUN) is a mainly student-led Model United Nations (MUN) conference.

Model United Nations (MUN) conferences serve as an educative simulation of United Nations procedures and offer a platform for young people to learn more about international matters. Students from various backgrounds and perspectives gather for a Model UN conference where they roleplay as delegates from their preferred country and use diplomacy to debate urgent global concerns. This co-curricular activity attempts to teach students how to design their own practical policies in a setting that is safe and equitable for everyone, as well as to help them grasp perspectives on significant political problems.

Like our host school Stonyhurst International School Penang, we strive for youth to not only hone their own diplomatic expertise, but also to become Men and Women for Others.
