For more than 20 years, OLMUN has been offering the opportunity to the world’s students to benefit from an experience of unique education in politics, elocution, and comprehension of foreign affairs. During our four-day conference, delegates of the various committees face diverse global challenges. By representing their assigned nation, the students bring international problems to life and possess the chance to resolve these concerning issues with their own resolutions.

OLMUN has distinguished itself as the largest MUN in Germany, welcoming more than 700 delegates each year. Since its first conference in 2001, OLMUN has continuously evolved to become more professional and diverse. We now simulate up to 10 different committees during our conference, with topic areas ranging from security issues to environmental protection, human rights, and industrial development. These committees offer opportunities to take the first steps in debating and MUN, or they challenge more experienced delegates to think outside the box. Our Security Council, for instance, features an integrated crisis simulation, which demands responsiveness and creativity.

All this is carefully planned and organized exclusively by high-school students who have decided to devote their time to this extraordinary project. The Inner Circle, a team of 50 students at the basis of our organizational structure, is led by the Secretariat, which is elected by the OLMUN association every year, and together these organs create a unique conference each year.

In our view, OLMUN is not only a way to learn about the UN and international politics, but also an opportunity to meet new people from all over the world. We actively foster intercultural communication by organizing fun evening activities, and through our housing programme for international participants. Because of these exchanges, OLMUN offers educational opportunities on international politics in a more vivid way than school could ever be.

If this has awakened your interest, feel free to browse our website to meet the people behind the conference and discover exciting opportunities to get involved in our project. Do not hesitate to contact us for further information!

We appreciate your time and attention and are looking forward to seeing you at the next OLMUN Conference, which will take place from June 4 - June 7, 2024.
