The Voice Of Collectives

Mahapanchayat MUN — Ekklesia: #The_Voice_Of_Collectives

Fifth edition · 26–27 September 2026 · Ghaziabad, National Capital Region, India

Most Model UN conferences simulate parliaments. This one puts you inside a real one.

Now in its fifth edition, Mahapanchayat MUN returns in association with Unnati, The Knowledge Hub for Civil Aspirants, hosted at Children's Academy, Pratap Vihar, Ghaziabad, within reach of New Delhi.

Why come to India for this

You can debate the UN Security Council anywhere. What you cannot do anywhere is spend two days simulating the Lok Sabha and the All India Political Parties Meet, learning how the world's largest democracy actually argues with itself, and then walk into the Parliament of India to see the chamber for yourself.

Delegates attending Ekklesia gain the opportunity to learn directly from Members of Parliament, senior civil servants, and eminent public figures, and to take part in an educational visit to the Parliament of India. For a delegate coming from outside India, this is access most visitors to Delhi never get.

What you take home

Every delegate receives a certificate of participation. Winners receive cash prizes, trophies, and letters of appreciation, with select honours endorsed by a Member of Parliament. On a university application, a commendation carrying the signature of a sitting Indian parliamentarian is not a line item. It is a talking point.

Beyond the awards you build what actually transfers: research under time pressure, public speaking to a hostile room, negotiation across genuinely opposed positions, and the confidence to defend an argument you did not choose.

Track record

Unnati's flagship programmes, including the Uthan Youth Parliament and Mahapanchayat MUN, have been organised on a national scale and have received messages of support from Dr. Shashi Tharoor, Varun Gandhi, Deepender Singh Hooda, and members of the University of Delhi. Previous collaborations include the University of Delhi, Hansraj College, Galgotias University, MERI Institutions, JIMS College, Royal Law College, Evergreen Public School, and Adarsh World School.

Information for International Delegates

Ekklesia welcomes delegates from outside India. The venue is in Ghaziabad, part of the Delhi National Capital Region, roughly 45–50 km from Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL), which is served by direct flights from most major international hubs.

Visa. International delegates are responsible for arranging their own visa. On confirmed registration we issue an official invitation letter on Unnati letterhead stating your name, the conference dates and venue, and organiser contact details, which you may submit with your application. We are unable to provide visa assistance, advise on applications, or influence outcomes. Delegation fees are non-refundable in the event of visa refusal, so we recommend applying well in advance of 26 September 2026.

Accommodation. We share a list of recommended hotels near the venue on confirmed registration, including any negotiated group rates. Delegates book and pay hotels directly. Accommodation is not included in the delegation fee and is not arranged or managed by the organisers.

Airport transfer. We can suggest local cab operators for pickup and drop between Indira Gandhi International Airport and Ghaziabad. Transfers are arranged and paid directly between the delegate and the operator, and are not included in the delegation fee. Prepaid taxi counters operate around the clock at the airport's arrivals terminal.

Delegates under 18 must be accompanied to India by a parent, guardian, or school-appointed chaperone. Due to venue capacity, accompanying adults cannot be present inside the conference venue. The chaperone remains responsible for the delegate outside conference hours, including accommodation, travel to and from the venue, and any medical decisions.

Conference hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM on both days. The organisers are not responsible for delegates outside these hours.

Dates: 26–27 September 2026
Timings: 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM both days
Venue: Children's Academy, Pratap Vihar, Ghaziabad
Dress code: Day 1 Indian Traditional, Day 2 Western Formal
