Diplomacy in the Digital Age

Welcome to KDFMUN – First Edition                                Theme:Technology and International Security

Dear Delegates, Chairs, and Esteemed Guests,

It is my great honor to welcome you to the Kaisariani Diplomatic Forum Model United Nations (KDFMUN) 2026. As the President and Organizer of this conference, I am thrilled to witness a gathering of passionate, driven individuals ready to engage in meaningful debate and tackle some of the world’s most pressing challenges.

At KDFMUN, we believe that diplomacy is the key to shaping a better future. This year, we come together in the heart of Athens, Greece, from February 26 to March 1, 2026, to foster dialogue, critical thinking, and collaboration. Whether you are an experienced MUN participant or embarking on this journey for the first time, this conference is designed to challenge, inspire, and empower you as a future leader in international relations.

The world is evolving rapidly, with technological advancements reshaping the landscape of global affairs. As we witness the convergence of emerging technologies and international security challenges, diplomacy must evolve to address these new realities. This year’s theme, “Technology and International Security,” challenges delegates to explore how technological innovations impact global security, from cybersecurity threats to the role of emerging technologies in warfare and diplomacy. Delegates will be called upon to navigate these complex issues with strategic foresight, innovation, and a strong commitment to peace and stability.

Beyond the debates, KDFMUN 2026 offers an incredible opportunity to experience the rich history and culture of Athens, a city that has been a cornerstone of diplomacy and democracy for centuries. It is a chance to forge lifelong connections, broaden perspectives, and make a tangible impact on global discourse.

I invite you all to immerse yourselves fully in this experience—challenge ideas, negotiate solutions, and, most importantly, enjoy every moment of it. I look forward to seeing the inspiring debates and innovative solutions you bring to the table.

Welcome to KDFMUN 2026! Where diplomacy meets the Digital Age.

Ioannis Deretzis
President & Organizer, KDFMUN
