About

Shaping Global Policy in the Heart of Europe.

Welcome to the First Session of the Budapest, Kőrösi Csoma Sándor Model United Nations Conference in 2027!

International MUN in Budapest, in the heart of Europe, Budapest. Debate in one of the world's most iconic and beautiful buildings in the world: the Hungarian Parliament.

We focus on quality, intense academic debate, and creating a positive environment for first-timers to learn, as well as a forum for experienced delegates to excel.

We offer a wide range of committees, including special committees such as the crisis committee and the press committee.

We hope that every delegate can find something that interests them at their experience level.

All Hungarian and international delegates are welcome; however, we cannot provide visa invitations.
Delegations from outside the EEA, please contact us via email before applying.

Committees

The Security Council is responsible for maintaining international peace and security. It addresses urgent global conflicts, authorises peacekeeping operations, and can impose sanctions or approve the use of force.

WHO addresses global health issues, including disease prevention, healthcare systems, and emergency responses to pandemics. Delegates collaborate to improve health outcomes worldwide.

ECOSOC focuses on economic development, social progress, and international cooperation. It addresses issues such as poverty, education, and sustainable development to improve global living standards.

UN CCPCJ works to combat crime at both the national and international levels. Topics include organised crime, cybercrime, and criminal justice reform to strengthen legal systems and cooperation.

The delegates of this committee have to tackle an unknown crisis. To represent their country's stance properly, we advise delegates to conduct in-depth background research on the chosen regions. This is an advanced committee; we recommend it only for devoted or experienced delegates.

This is a special committee simulating the press activities during a United Nations conference. The delegates became reporters for their respective newspapers and are expected to report on the conference and its committees in the style of their respective media. The committee members will also receive the Best Delegate, Outstanding Delegate, and Honourable Mention awards. The winner of this committee will receive a special prize, as it is an unconventional part of our MUN.

DISEC focuses on global security challenges, including disarmament, arms control, and emerging threats. Delegates work to promote international stability and reduce the risks posed by weapons.

UNHRC is dedicated to promoting and protecting human rights globally. Delegates examine violations, support fundamental freedoms, and propose measures to ensure dignity and equality for all.
