GentMUN 2026

This November, GentMUN brings a Model United Nations conference to the historic city of Ghent for the very first time. Set against the backdrop of one of Belgium's most storied cities, this inaugural conference invites delegates to engage in rigorous debate, diplomacy, and negotiation on the challenges shaping our world today.

Across three committees, delegates will move from foundational debate to high-stakes diplomacy – from the human cost buried in the global supply chains that power the green transition, to the EU's efforts to manage migration beyond its own borders, to the fragile balance of power and freedom of navigation playing out in the Red Sea. Each committee offers a different lens on the same underlying question: what do we owe each other, and who gets to decide?

Whether you're stepping into your first committee session or you've chaired a dozen conferences, GentMUN offers a space to sharpen your diplomacy and grapple with the issues defining this century's struggle for rights and justice.
