DLGCMUN is a dynamic, student-led virtual Model United Nations conference that redefines diplomacy for the next generation. Spearheaded by a passionate Secretary-General, this conference blends rigorous debate with imaginative structure—creating spaces where young minds engage not just with policy, but with history, philosophy, and global justice.

From the State General Assembly, inspired by the French Revolution’s Estates-General, to unique intermediate-level crisis-style committees, DLGCMUN dares to be bold. Committees are innovatively crafted to ensure every delegate debates, with teams of 20 delegates representing clergy, nobility, or the third estate—or tackling issues in courts and councils with real impact.

Backed by a vision for independent organisation, quality discourse, and zero compromise on substance, DLGCMUN isn’t just another conference. It’s a movement toward inclusive, powerful diplomacy—driven entirely by students, and entirely for students.

    Estates-General Assembly Debate (EGAD) “Where History Meets Diplomacy: Shaping the Future of a Kingdom” The Estates-General Assembly Debate (EGAD) is a specialised historical committee that reenacts the critical assembly of the three estates—Clergy, Nobility, and Third Estate—during a period of profound political and social change in late 18th-century France. This committee offers a unique opportunity for delegates to engage in both formal debate and immersive role-play, embodying the perspectives, ambitions, and conflicts of their assigned estate. The committee will consist of 60 delegates divided equally among the three estates, with 20 delegates in each estate. Delegates within each estate will be further organised into smaller teams to encourage collaboration, negotiation, and faction-building. Delegates will participate in structured parliamentary procedures including moderated and unmoderated caucuses, draft resolutions, and negotiate alliances while managing secret objectives and unfolding crises introduced by the Chair. The committee emphasises: • Historical authenticity balanced with dynamic interaction • Collaborative negotiation among estates with competing interests • Strategic decision-making under evolving scenarios • Active engagement in role-specific goals and responsibilities Through this hybrid format, delegates will not only sharpen their diplomatic skills but also gain a deeper understanding of the complex forces that contributed to revolutionary change. EGAD challenges participants to navigate political tensions, forge compromises, and influence the course of history.
