Diplomacy Sets Sail
Overview
AASTMT-IEPMUN is the annual Model United Nations hosted by the International Education Programs at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology & Maritime Transport. Entering its fourth edition, the conference provides a formal diplomatic platform where student delegates engage in realistic UN simulations, develop negotiation, leadership, and public-speaking skills, and collaborate on solutions to pressing global challenges.

Day 1 â Opening Ceremony

The conference opens with an official ceremony in Gamal Mokhtar Hall, the principal ceremonial venue at the academy. Its formal setting reflects the spirit of multilateral diplomacy and sets the tone for the conference experience.

Behaviors & Expectations
- Delegates must show respect to fellow delegates, chairs, organizers, staff members, and all individuals present.
- Participants must comply with campus rules and regulations at all times.
- Tobacco, alcohol, and prohibited substances are strictly forbidden.
- Harassment, bullying, discrimination, or inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated.
Failure to comply may result in disciplinary measures including:
- Verbal warning
- Temporary suspension from sessions
- Expulsion from the conference without refund
Dress Code â Formal Business Attire
AASTMT-IEPMUN maintains a professional diplomatic environment. All participants are expected to wear formal business attire during official conference activities.
Acceptable Attire
- Women: Blouses or dress shirts with blazers, tailored trousers, knee-length skirts, or modest professional dresses
- Men: Dress shirts with ties, accompanied by a blazer or suit jacket
- Footwear: Closed-toe formal shoes such as flats, heels, or loafers
Not Permitted
Jeans, sneakers, t-shirts, sandals, or any casual attire
