Zoe Braddick

Hello everyone! My name is Zoe Braddick and I am delighted to be the Under-Secretary General for Chairing for WestMUN19. I am a third year Politics and Economics student at the University of Reading currently on a year in industry and this is my eighth year as part of the Model United Nation's Scene. Over the last eight years, MUN has been an extremely important part of my life as I have had the opportunity to attend conferences both nationally and internationally. While my dedication and love for MUN was nurtured on the school and college circuit, university style MUN has quickly grown into a passion and I have been lucky enough to attend conferences such as NMUN in New York and KULMUN in Leu, experiences which are not quickly forgotten. I was extremely fortunate enough to be the Secretary General of ReadiMUN17 where we were able to double our delegate numbers from ReadiMUN16, bringing ReadiMUN17 into the territory of being a medium size conference. We were able to create a conference which had a variety that everyone could enjoy, from nurturing the talents of our beginners, to providing a little more interest for our more experienced members with committees that are a little more unusual from what they are expecting. We were also delighted to reintroduce Crisis to ReadiMUN and with both historical and modern on offer, there was something for everyone so that they can experience this unique form of tackling topics. Please note that the school and college dates are a little fuzzy this far on and so dates and committees are written to the best of my memory. From this I am excited to be a part of the WestMUN18 team this year! Bringing my experience from ReadiMUN17 and the solid foundation that WestMUN already stands on to bring a fantastic opportunity that anyone and everyone can enjoy, with unusual and diverse committee opportunities and experiences that I am excited to share with everyone! I look forward to seeing you all in November, where we will be raring to go, ready to meet the bright talent of tomorrow!
