Climate change has emerged as a defining challenge to global development, disproportionately affecting developing countries that are least equipped to respond. Rising temperatures, extreme weather events, and resource scarcity threaten key economic sectors such as agriculture, infrastructure, and energy. While sustainable development remains a core objective of the United Nations, many states face the dilemma of balancing environmental protection with the urgent need for economic growth. International frameworks such as the Paris Agreement emphasize climate adaptation and mitigation, yet implementation gaps persist due to financial, technological, and political constraints. In this context, ECOSOC plays a critical role in fostering international cooperation, mobilizing funding, and promoting policy integration across sectors. Delegates are encouraged to explore mechanisms such as climate finance, technology transfer, and public-private partnerships to support resilience without hindering economic progress. Key questions include how to ensure equitable access to green technologies, how to support vulnerable economies, and how to align national development strategies with global sustainability goals. Effective solutions will require balancing national interests with collective responsibility, ensuring that no country is left behind in the transition toward a resilient and sustainable global economy

The rapid expansion of digital technologies has transformed global communication, commerce, and governance, but has also led to a significant rise in cybercrime and digital fraud. Cybercriminal activities—including identity theft, financial scams, ransomware attacks, and data breaches—pose serious threats to both national security and individual privacy. The transnational nature of cybercrime makes it particularly challenging to address, as perpetrators often operate across multiple jurisdictions with differing legal frameworks. Organizations such as INTERPOL and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime have emphasized the need for stronger international coordination and legal harmonization. The CCPCJ is tasked with promoting effective crime prevention strategies and enhancing global cooperation in criminal justice matters. Delegates should consider approaches such as strengthening legal frameworks, improving cross-border information sharing, and enhancing cybersecurity infrastructure. Additionally, addressing the root causes of cybercrime—including lack of awareness, weak enforcement mechanisms, and technological disparities—remains essential. The challenge lies in balancing security measures with the protection of fundamental rights, including privacy and freedom of expression, while ensuring that international collaboration remains efficient, inclusive, and adaptable to rapidly evolving digital threats.

This topic therefore focuses on developing effective and sustainable frameworks to enhance school safety, prevent future incidents, and ensure a secure and supportive learning environment for all students.
