The University “Turan” and the Higher School of “International Relations and Diplomacy” are organizing the XV Anniversary International Conference “Turan Model United Nations 2026” (TURAN MUN 2026), dedicated to discussing current issues of world politics. The conference format closely simulates the meetings of United Nations committeeThe conference invites high school students, college students, and university students from Kazakhstan and abroad to participate as delegates and official representatives of various United Nations member states. During the conference, participants will develop diplomatic, leadership, public speaking, and language skills, as well as the ability to reach compromises.
Special emphasis will be placed on discussing pressing contemporary issues, while delegates are expected to adhere to diplomatic etiquette.
The Model United Nations helps participants realize the importance of their future and experience being an integral, unique, and indispensable part of the global community. Participants can look forward to experiencing student life, gaining new impressions, and acquiring unique experiences!
At the conference opening, representatives from international organizations, embassies, and the media will be present, highlighting the significance of the event and giving participants the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the professional diplomatic environment. Participants will also enjoy exposure to student life, new impressions, and a one-of-a-kind experience!
CONFERENCE PROGRAM
The conference program includes work in three committees:
- General Assembly (GA)
- Security Council (SC)
- UNESCO, the UN specialized agency for education, science, and culture, which includes sites on the World Heritage list.
