“Audi Alteram Partem” – Listen to the Other Side
SPARK MUN is rooted in the belief that all individuals are born equal in dignity and rights. In a world shaped by diversity and increasing global interconnection, the conference upholds the values of freedom of thought, conscience, opinion, and expression. These rights are essential for building an inclusive, just, and humane society. SPARK MUN encourages young individuals to embrace these freedoms, engage in meaningful dialogue, and grow into thoughtful and empathetic global citizens. The origins of this mission can be traced back to the early Model United Nations movement, which began as simulations of the League of Nations in 1921 at Oxford University. Long before the establishment of the United Nations itself, these early assemblies were created to foster leadership, diplomacy, and a sense of global responsibility among students. Today, that spirit lives on through SPARK MUN, which challenges delegates to expand their thinking, look beyond borders, and confront international issues with courage and compassion.
Our conference seeks to go beyond academic excellence by focusing equally on social awareness and moral responsibility. Through engaging simulations of international diplomacy, we provide a platform where delegates not only debate and negotiate but also develop values like cooperation, integrity, and respect. Inspired by the principles of ‘Liberty, Equality, Fraternity’ and guided by the idea of ‘One World; One Future’ along with ‘वसुधैव कुटुम्बकम्’—the world is one family—SPARK MUN cultivates unity in diversity
