SGSMUN 2026

SGSMUN is an international Model United Nations conference hosted by St. George’s School Portugal, bringing together students from diverse schools and backgrounds to engage in diplomacy, debate, and global cooperation.

Through realistic simulations of United Nations committees, delegates are challenged to address pressing international issues, develop innovative solutions, and represent the policies and perspectives of their assigned countries. SGSMUN aims to promote public speaking, critical thinking, negotiation, leadership, and collaboration in a dynamic and academically enriching environment.

Our conference encourages delegates to step into the role of global diplomats, debating world affairs across a variety of committees including economic, humanitarian, security, and crime-related bodies. Beyond formal debate, SGSMUN seeks to create an engaging and memorable experience that combines academic excellence with creativity, teamwork, and international-mindedness.
