From Galle to Globe
SDIMUN 2026
Why SDIMUN?
Because every MUNer remembers the moment they first realized: maybe my voice matters more than I thought. SDIMUN wants to be that moment for someone; a place where confidence grows, friendships spark, and delegates learn to see the world, and themselves a little differently.
Conference Overview
SDIMUN 2026 marks the very first Model UN conference of Siridhamma College, Galle; a project built over years of dreaming, learning, and believing in what young voices can achieve. Rooted in the identity of our coastal hometown and driven by the ambition to reach beyond it, SDIMUN carries the theme From Galle to Globe: a reminder that local stories can shape global conversations.
This edition is fully online and entirely free of charge, staying true to our principle that access to quality education shouldn’t come with barriers. SDIMUN brings together delegates from Sri Lanka and abroad for two days of debate grounded in empathy, cultural exchange, and real-world relevance.
MUNatSDCG
The Model United Nations Club of Siridhamma College (SDCG MUNC) stands as Siridhamma College’s foremost training ground for aspiring diplomats, critical thinkers, and global citizens. Serving as the custodian of all MUN-related initiatives at the College, the club broadens intellectual horizons through dynamic pedagogy, innovative learning tools, and hands-on diplomatic exposure.
SDCG MUNC takes pride in pioneering impactful educational innovations such as the SDCG MUNC Digital Library, reaffirming its mission to advance free, accessible, and high-quality education. Its influence extends beyond conference rooms — the club actively contributes to building a sustainable, socially conscious community through annual outreach efforts and environmental initiatives, proving that its dedication to the global goals thrives far beyond conference rooms.
The club is also the proud architect of two hallmark initiatives:
• “Ideation” - Sri Lanka’s first and only recurring Model UN camp.
• “The Shoulder Project” - An award-winning trilingual community initiative
Together, these endeavours position SDCG MUNC as a trailblazer shaping the future of MUN culture in Sri Lanka.
What Delegates Can Expect

We aim for resolutions that don’t just sit in a drive folder — but inspire delegates long after the closing ceremony.
