Changing the Present to Save the Future!
The University of Nottingham's Model United Nations Society is proud to present our second post-Covid conference, NottsMUN 2025!
This year’s conference will revolve around the theme of “Changing the present to save the future”, hosted from the 21st to the 23rd of March. The 3-day long conference will branch out and debate on a variety of different topics in the hope of simulating real-life scenarios happening today at the United Nations. As different countries fight for what they believe is true and come together to express their opinions, it is only under the umbrella of unity that the United Nations can achieve success.
Over the last year, the society has been growing and is trying to re-establish itself as one of Britain's best conferences. Our goal is to prove that young people can find the solutions to the world’s most pressing challenges. The theme of “Changing the present to save the future” aims to demonstrate that today’s problems can be resolved in order to mitigate and stop future catastrophes, focusing to spread optimism and hope about the future of global politics.
NottsMUN 2025 will be home to 3 different committees, tailored to delegates of any and all experience. The committees will consist of the DISEC (Beginner), the COP (Intermediate), and a the UNSC Crisis (Advanced), discussing different problems and disputes in the hopes of arriving to a general consensus.
Nottingham is one of the UK’s most vibrant and diverse cities and our conference offers the opportunity to explore the university’s scenic campus, to indulge in the city’s colourful nightlife and to follow the footsteps of the legend Robin Hood.
Join us here and take charge as you become the voice of your people at the United Nations NottsMUN 2025!
