NIMUN 7th International Conference is right around the corner!
We’re excited to open delegate applications for this year’s councils.

In this form, you’ll find all the information you need about each council.
Please select your 1st and 2nd preferences based on where you believe you’ll perform best.

Our conference will take place in January 2026.

Beginner Councils

📰 International Press Committee (IPC)

The International Press Committee serves as the voice and lens of NIMUN. It holds the responsibility of documenting and covering every session, debate, and crisis through timely reporting on social media platforms and using creative storytelling. Members of Press act as journalists and, covering the conference from multiple perspectives while ensuring accuracy and professionalism. Through, interviews, social media posts and more. Press is the committee that highlights the importance of diplomacy and captures the atmosphere of NIMUN for all delegates.

🕊️ Human Rights Council (HRC)

The Human Rights Council is an intergovernmental body within the United Nations system responsible for strengthening the promotion and protection of human rights around the globe and for addressing situations of human rights violations and making recommendations on them. It serves as an international forum for dialogue on human rights issues.

Intermediate Council

🛡️ Disarmament and International Security Committee  (DISEC)

The Disarmament and International Security Committee (DISEC) at NIMUN addresses global peace and security challenges, bringing together delegates to debate disarmament, arms control, and emerging threats. Through resolutions, negotiations, and strategic diplomacy, DISEC empowers participants to craft practical, cooperative solutions while upholding international stability, responsibility, and collective security throughout the conference.

Advanced Council

⚖️ International Court of Justice (ICJ)

The International Court of Justice (ICJ) at NIMUN simulates the UN’s principal judicial body, where participants act as judges, advocates, and agents to resolve real international disputes. Through legal arguments, evidence analysis, memorials, and oral pleadings, the ICJ ensures objective, law-based rulings while challenging delegates to uphold justice, precision, and integrity throughout the conference.
