About the Conference

NextGen Diplomacy Model United Nations (NDMUN) is a student-led, online Model United Nations conference designed to empower the next generation of diplomats, leaders, and critical thinkers.

NDMUN focuses on quality debate, realistic diplomacy, and meaningful participation, rather than flashy gimmicks. Our goal is simple — to create a platform where delegates learn, speak, negotiate, and grow in a professional yet inclusive environment.

This Maiden Edition marks the beginning of a long-term vision to build a credible and respected MUN legacy.

As 2026 marks the 80th Anniversary of ECOSOC, the council has reached a historic milestone that demands a shift from routine discussion to "Foundational Reform," challenging the traditional power structures that have existed since 1946. The chosen agenda—"Re-examining Chapter X of the UN Charter: Enhancing ECOSOC’s Mandate to Enforce Economic and Social Rights"—is a serious, country-neutral, and intellectually deep topic that treats ECOSOC not just as a forum for advice, but as a potential "Global Economic Government." This agenda requires delegates to debate whether the UN Charter should be amended to give ECOSOC "teeth"—the legal authority to enforce rules on climate finance, global health equity, and debt relief—ensuring that the council can move beyond mere recommendations to take decisive, binding action against the systemic inequalities of the 21st century.
