We would be delighted to welcome a delegation from your school to Amsterdam on 12th, 13th and 14th October 2022 to help make MUNsterdam a conference to remember.

The essentials

• The theme of MUNsterdam is “The challenges of a neocolonial world”

• You can find the conference website here.

• Fees for the conference will be 75 euros for all delegates to cover the costs of hosting

• The participation fee does not include accommodation. We can recommend suitable accommodation on request

• School delegations should consist of a minimum of four and a maximum of seven participants

• On this occasion, the conference is only open to schools within the EU's Schengen area

The theme: The challenges of a neocolonial world

The end of the colonial era has resulted in a world full of happy, democratic, productive and sovereign states, all of whom have the utmost respect for universal human rights… or has it?

At the MUNsterdam conference 2022, delegates will explore how a new era of neocolonialism has seen states using economic, military and cultural measures to keep the flame of imperialism alive in the twenty first century.

Delegates will consider the realities of neocolonialism from a range of international and national policy perspectives, debating both the advantages and disadvantages of a new era of globalized collaboration, governance and control.
