Rewrite the history
It is 1775. The British colonies in the North America are in turmoil: this is the result of the taxes imposed by the British government. Previously, during the First Continental Congress colonists tried to create a document to convince the British King to change his political stance towards the colonies. However, in April 1775 first military confrontation takes place between the British and the Colonists. Is it possible to find a compromise? Or should the colonies fight for the Independence?
The delegates representing the historical figures from 13 colonies will gather at the Second Continental Congress to solve the crisis. There are 2 major camps : pro-independence and anti-independence. All those labeled as moderate are the ones who argued for firstly prioritising a more diplomatic solution but weren't opposed to independence per se, so some of them are closer to pro-independence.
The simulation will be an MUN crisis. All levels are welcome (you will get the rules before the event, and the chairs will remind you the procedure and particularities of the crisis in the begging of the event as well). The debate will be hold under standard ROPs, and as for the crisis, delegates will have a possibility to send directives and receive updates from the backroom and access to a map.
