The first official edition of an MUN collaboration between the Swedish cities of Gothenburg and Malmö welcomes you!

Set in the city of Gothenburg we announce a completly beginner friendly MUN event including important workhops and two days of debate.

Unmasking the New Age of Transnational Crime and Global Influence

The New Landscape of Transnational Organised Crime and Its Influence on Global Politics has more and more moved into the spotlight over the past years. Cartels, maffias, maritime trafficking and money laundering are only a few topics to be named.

Besides two introductory workshops to Model UN, we invite all delegates to discuss on different topics in 3 different committees. The Security Council on Organised Crime as a Threat to International Security: Expansion in West Africa and the Sahel, the UNODC on New Routes for International Drug Trafficking: From the South Pacific to East Africa, and the Counter-Terrorism Committee on International Proliferation of Financial Mafias and Money Laundering Networks.

All delegates attending will get a free city tour through Gothenburg and the full experience of Swedish coffee breaks called fika. The city of Gothenburg itself is located right at the Swedish Westcoast and its archipelago and, as a city full of students, has a lot to offer for freetime activities.
