LUMINA MUN 2025 welcomes high school and university delegates into a bold and immersive diplomatic experience. Over two days of live debate and collaboration, participants will step into the roles of global leaders, navigating today’s most complex international challenges. Through intense committee sessions, delegates will refine their skills in diplomacy, public speaking, negotiation, critical thinking, and resolution drafting, all within a conference grounded in truth (veritas) and virtue (virtus).

Delve into urgent human rights challenges, critically assess state policies, and collaborate on innovative solutions to uphold universal dignity and justice.

↠ United Nations Security Council (UNSC):
Address pressing global threats to peace and security in a high-stakes, crisis-driven setting. Navigate geopolitical tensions and craft binding resolutions with real-world impact.

↠ Disarmament and International Security Committee (DISEC):
Tackle the complex issues of global disarmament, arms control, and emerging security threats. Engage in strategic diplomacy to build consensus and promote international stability.

In this committee, delegates will confront some of the most urgent and complex humanitarian challenges of our time — from systemic discrimination and violations of civil liberties, to the rights of refugees, minorities, and vulnerable populations. Through debate, negotiation, and collaboration, delegates must strive to uphold the principles of dignity, equality, and justice, while navigating cultural, political, and ethical divides. Balancing national sovereignty with universal human rights, UNHRC is where diplomacy meets conscience.

DISEC

As the First Committee of the United Nations General Assembly, DISEC addresses global challenges to peace and security that threaten the stability of nations and regions. Tasked with promoting disarmament, regulating the global arms trade, and preventing militarization of emerging technologies, DISEC is at the forefront of international efforts to reduce the risks of conflict and war. Delegates in this committee will grapple with pressing issues such as nuclear proliferation, cybersecurity threats, chemical and biological weapons, and the militarization of space.
