About jlgMUN 2027
In 2027, jlgMUN will take place for the fourth time — and for the first time as a joint venture between John-Lennon-Gymnasium and Johann-Gottfried-Herder Gymnasium. This new partnership brings delegates from both schools together, further enriching the diversity of perspectives and the substantive exchange within our conference.
Over four days, participants can look forward to a full Model United Nations programme: a ceremonial Opening Ceremony, intensive Committee Sessions in which resolutions are drafted, debated, and negotiated, and a formal Closing Ceremony.
jlgMUN 2027 is organised on a strictly non-profit basis by students and staff of both participating schools.
Conference Structure (4 days)
- Day 1 — Opening Ceremony: Welcome, keynote address, introduction to committees and conference procedure.
- Days 2–3 — Committee Sessions: Delegates debate their assigned topics, negotiate blocs, and draft resolutions in formal and informal sessions.
- Day 4 — Closing Committee Sessions & Closing Ceremony: Final voting procedures, adoption of resolutions, awards, and formal closing.
(Exact dates, venue, and participant capacity to be confirmed and inserted once finalised.)
Eligibility
Participation in jlgMUN is open exclusively to high school students aged 13–18. Every participating student must be accompanied and supervised by a teacher or legal guardian for the entire duration of the conference.
