Debate It. Own It. Change It.

Introduction

JHMUN was born out of a simple but powerful idea: Jharkhand deserves better. For too long, the debating and MUN culture here lacked a true platform where talent could rise and voices could be recognized.

We created JHMUN to change that. To build a space that is impartial, merit-driven, and revolutionary – a platform where quality is acknowledged, effort is rewarded, and talent is given the stage it deserves.

Our vision goes beyond just hosting another conference. We are here to create a circuit, a culture that matches the best in India, that puts Jharkhand on the national MUN map, and connects delegates with opportunities across the country.

JHMUN is not just about two days of debate. It is about building a movement – one that empowers a generation of speakers, leaders, and changemakers.

Every delegate who walks into JHMUN is not just a participant, but a part of this revolution.

JHMUN Ranchi Chapter

The Ranchi Chapter marks a historic milestone for JHMUN – our very first offline conference. Hosted at the prestigious Sarla Birla Public School, this conference is not just another event. It is the beginning of a movement that will redefine debating culture in Jharkhand.

For the first time, delegates from across India will gather in Ranchi to engage, challenge, and inspire.

This is where the revolution begins. The Ranchi Chapter will set the tone for everything JHMUN stands for – excellence, recognition, and change. It is more than a conference – it is our launchpad, our statement, and our promise that Jharkhand’s voice will be heard loud and clear on the national stage.

A Note from the Founder

For the past decade, I have been part of the MUN and debating culture in Ranchi and across Jharkhand. In this journey, I have had the privilege of guiding more than 200 students and witnessing the immense talent our state holds. But I also saw something missing – true recognition. Too often, talent was overlooked, and impartiality was lost.

That is why we built JHMUN – to change the narrative. To create a platform where quality stands above everything else. A space where effort is rewarded, voices are heard, and delegates rise not just for two days, but for a lifetime of opportunities.

This is more than a conference. This is the beginning of a revolution – a movement to give Jharkhand its rightful place on the national MUN stage.

A Note from the Secretary-General

Dear Delegates,

On behalf of the entire Secretariat, I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to each one of you for registering for JHMUN and believing in us. Your trust and support are what give this conference its true meaning.

I want to make you a personal promise – at JHMUN, you will experience nothing less than the highest standards of quality, fairness, and acknowledgement. Every effort you put in will be valued, and every voice will be heard.

But this journey does not end with these two days. Beyond the conference, JHMUN will continue to guide you, connect you, and make you an integral part of our growing family.

I am truly looking forward to welcoming you in person, to seeing you take the floor, and to witnessing the brilliance you will bring to this conference. See you at JHMUN .

– Deveshi Prasad
Secretary-General, JHMUN 2025 .
