ISUMUN 2027

Strengthening Sovereignty and Resolving Conflicts Through International Cooperation in an Interconnected World

We are delighted to welcome you to the 4th edition of ISUMUN, a two-day Model United Nations conference hosted by the International School of Utrecht in Utrecht, the Netherlands.

ISUMUN 2027 offers students the opportunity to explore international affairs through debate, diplomacy, and collaboration. Bringing together delegates from diverse backgrounds and perspectives, the conference creates a space to discuss key global issues, exchange ideas, and better understand how countries can work together to address shared challenges.

Our theme, Global Peace and Security: Strengthening Sovereignty and Resolving Conflicts Through International Cooperation in an Interconnected World, explores how we maintain peace today. Modern political, economic, and technological challenges don't respect borders. Addressing them requires a careful balance between national sovereignty and international teamwork. At ISUMUN 2027, delegates will dive into conflict prevention, humanitarian responsibility, and multilateral diplomacy. We want to encourage participants to engage with different perspectives, think critically about complex issues, and see how dialogue leads to real-world solutions. Whether this is your first MUN or your tenth, you will have the chance to contribute to the discussion, challenge your own views, and gain a deeper understanding of how diplomacy shapes global peace.

ISUMUN 2027 welcomes those who are ready to engage deeply, debate with integrity, and take part in a conference that is young in years but ambitious in vision.
