Committee: Human Rights Council (HRC) Title: Protecting Youth Mental Health: Ensuring Access, Rights, and Support Systems Agenda / Description: The Human Rights Council will convene to address the growing global concerns surrounding youth mental health. Delegates will discuss the increasing rates of anxiety, depression, stress, and burnout among young people, particularly in relation to educational pressures, social media exposure, and community challenges. The council will examine how limited access to youth-friendly mental health services, stigma, and lack of awareness violate the human rights of young people to health, dignity, and development. Delegates will propose strategies to strengthen mental health support systems, promote awareness, and ensure that policies protect and empower youth. Topics will include the role of schools, communities, governments, and international organizations in creating accessible, inclusive, and supportive environments for mental well-being.
